The Annual Conference is the primary activity of TSOMA. Each fall TSOMA gathers for updates across Occupational and Environmental, focusing on issues of special significance to providers in Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. It is the responsibility of the attendee to make sure that they complete the attendance verification process within a week of each session to receive CME credit.

Friday Evening Social Event
We hope that all attendees will join us at the Nature Center at Shaker Heights, for a catered thai food buffet dinner, including Seafood, Chicken, and Vegan options. The social event is included in the registration fees, with additional guests available for $40. The cost of the event is highly subsidized to include all attendees and guests. Guests are welcome. Educational (CME/CEU) credits will not be available for the meals or social event.

COVID-19: The organizing committee will be carefully monitoring the status of COVID-19 in the region. The committee will make a final decision about any risk mitigation measures that may be needed a week prior to the meeting, and this will be included in the pre-meeting email (sent to all registered attendees).
MOC Changes: The American Board of Preventive Medicine has changed the Maintenance of Certification Process. The new process started in 2023, including a transition has year-of-expiry based rules. If you are ABPM certified, consider reviewing the new process: (Click here for ABPM MOC Update). Our entire program should be eligible to be considered Preventive Medicine CME hours.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and the Tri-State Occupational Medicine Association (TSOMA). TSOMA meets the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and held a virtual conference spanning the fall of 2020, with 10 amazing hours of category I CME.

An excellent program included 15 hours CME hours, including site visits to ATI High-Speed Roller Mill and US Steel Edgar Thompson Braddock Plant. Friday evening we held a reception in honor of our 50th Anniversary at the Heinz History Center.
2018 - Dublin, Ohio
TSOMA has partnered with a new CME partner for the 2018 conference. Physicians will receive AAFP CME hours (equivalent to AMA Category 1 CME credit) and ABPM MOC credits will be available for the conference.
